Thursday Night With Taylor
Way back in November my cousin and her best friend were trying to get tickets for a Taylor Swift concert here in LA at the Staple Center on April 15, 2010.
They had to listen to one of the country radio stations for codes to get tickets for a cheap price. They were able to get a total of 11 tickets. Whoot!
That being said we have had these tickets for over 5 months and me being me....I totally forgot about until Wednesday night. I was talking to my mom about some stuff I had to do yesterday she said,
Ha. I didn't. On top of all that I had no idea what time we were leaving, where we were going...and all the above! So my mom started talking to my cousin Michelle on FB and the concert plans came up so I called Michelle to get the info. Soon I had all I needed and all the plans I had on Thursday...cancelled.
It ended up being that I went over to Michelle's house to help her with the babies. I went with her to a DR. appointment. That in itself was an adventure. The both of us with two dipper bags, two car seats, and of course two babies and only four arms to carry everything! Needless to say WE DID IT! By the time we got back from our mini-adventure it was about 2. Michelle took Austin home and I put Ella down for a nap. Finally it was time for us to get ready!
The plan was to have everyone (6) meet at Mitch's house around 3:00pm so we could leave no later than 3:30pm so we had time to eat, beat traffic and enjoy our time without feeling rushed. It was almost 4pm when we were all the car and leaving...oh and Mitch forgot the tickets so we had to turn around and get them. But to be fair we were not even out of the complex yet. Before we could be on our way we had to make a pit stop to pick up my mom who joined us for the event!
Close to 5pm we were finally on our way to LA! Of course we had to listen to some Taylor Swift, it would have helped if we knew which station to put the radio on so the IPod would play.
We got into LA around 6pm just in time to eat dinner at YardHouse. Tina was kind enough to meet us there after she got out of work. When we got there she had us already seated with Onion Rings so we didn't have to wait! Thanks Tina!!
As 7pm rolled around anticipation for the concert started and we could not wait to get to our seats! Sadly we did not get to sit together. Jen, Sarah, Tina, and myself sat in section 102 and Michelle, Steph, and Mom sat in the section above us.
Kelli Pickler was Taylor's open act. She did a great job! Taylor finally took the stage at about 8pm and it was a 2 1/2 hour concert. It was, to my surprise, a great concert! Go T.Swift!!
The night ended with us getting lost, (which at this point I'm beginning to think is a Cardona trait) in East LA, getting on the wrong freeway TWICE! hahaha. We finally got back into Ontario at around 11:30pm. I spent the night at Mitch's house. And that's how we ended our night!! A great night ladies thanks!
