Eating Bugs?! Gross!!

I went into the kitchen this morning to make some breakfast and found that my dad had already done so. Thanks dad!
Anyway...as I was getting my food he asked me to get some lettuce so he could feed his turtle. I went into the fridge and pulled out the lettuce and I found a bug.
What if people, like me, didn't pay attention to the fact that there are bugs on our fruit and veggies? What if we didn't wash them and then eat the bugs? Can you say gross?! As I was telling all this to my dad he laughed at me then said,

"What is wrong with eating bugs? People all over the world eat them."

I simply laughed and said,

"This is America! We don't eat bugs here! It's a last resort next to cannbolism!!"

So I ask you two questions....

1:: Do you pay attention to your fruits and veggies to see if there are bugs?

2:: Would you eat bugs if you had to?
