Monday and Tuesday
I hadn't seen his face in 2 1/2 months, so the anticipation of his arrival had my stomach all in knots.
Countdown was over and Monday June 21 was finally here.
His flight was supposed to land at 2:30 in the afternoon, but because of a delay in Dallas he didn't land in Ontario till 6. Even though I was bummed out about the delay, it gave me more time to get over my nerves.
It was time to head to the airport and pick him up...walking through the doors all I could think about were the butterflies in my stomach, but as soon as I saw him walking toward me all cool with his hand in his pocket, butterflies went away and excitement took its place.
By the time we got home the familia was already there and excited to meet the boy I had been talking about for two months, for the first time.
Banana tacos, some good company and ending the night with A Walk to Remember I'd say it was a good first night for him, maybe a little overwhelming with having to memorize a bunch of names and all.
Because he was only in town for 8 days we tried to do as much as possible; therefore we started Tuesday just right up at 8 and out the door by 10. He decided to go for a run while I "made breakfast." All I really did was get dressed and clean up the house. Ha. That afternoon we went to see Toy Story 3 in 3D. It was a cute final ending and worth the 11 year wait. I have to admit I was fighting back some tears, and though he won't admit it, so was he.
After the movie we headed home to get ready for a concert in LA of a band I had no idea existed, I can't even pronounce the name. Ha. We met up with one of Grant's best friends Andrew and the three of us enjoyed a great show, a bit crazy for us, but we stood strong in the crowd. By the time we got home I think it was about midnight...we ended the night with...bedtime!!
Thanks for reading!
