He Meets Mickey and Friends!

We spent all day Friday with the familia at the happiest place on earth.
The plan was to get up early and try to be at the park waiting in front of the gates at around 7:30. Our reason for this? So he could run through the gates like a little kid. I guess to be fair it was the first time he'd been to Disneyland since he was three and all he could remember was ridding Small World.
But naturally, after two days in San Diego and getting home late the plan quickly changed and we didn't leave the house till 9a.m. It was better that way. Me up at 6, Disney all day, leaving at midnight and getting home close to 2a.m. Can you imagine the mood I would have been in? Thanks Grant!!
First thing we did was go into City Hall and get a "First Time" button for him and "I'm Celebrating" button for me! :)
We spent an hour and 2o minutes taking pictures and walking through Main St. trying to find a Mickey Mouse shirt for Grant, but sadly we didn't find one he liked.
Our first rides were Star Tours and Buzz Lightyear. We walked over to Adventure Land went on Pirates. He noticed there was a restaurant inside, and thought it would be cool to eat there. I told him we are probably going to need a reservation. As soon as we got off we went and checked it out. Dinner started at 4p.m. so we said we'd try back then.
By this time the familia was there and got on Jungle Cruise after that we walked back through Main Street and spotted some Disney characters, but were only able to take pictures with Mickey Mouse and Goofy.
Finally we headed to ride Small World! Which Grant thought it would be cool to ride about 60 times. We went on it once and everyone asked if he would like to ride it again, his answer, "It's a lot more fun when you are 3." Splash Mountain was next on our list!! Lucky for me and Grant my lovely cousins put us in the front!! Ha. We didn't get as wet as I thought we would. It was about 4 and we were hungry so we headed to The Blue Bayou we got lucky and we were able to be seated without a reservation! He had Jambalaya and I had Beef. The food was...delicious!!! Thanks Grant! You are a sweetheart!!
Indiana Jones (I will NEVER go on that ride again!) and Hunted Mansion followed dinner.
We headed out to California Adventure met up with more of the familia, we went on Toy Story Mania, Tower of Terror, Soring California, and California Screamin'.
As soon as we got back to Disneyland Grant and I went to buy his Mickey Mouse ears with is name on the back. We also wanted to ride Space Mountain, but to our surprise it was not working so we decided to go watch Captain EO...as we were coming out of we noticed Space Mountain was working again so we grabbed our fast passed said 'let's go!' By the way this was Grant's very first "roller coaster" he was so scared!! He did not like the ride because it was pitch black. There are no lights in space Grant! Ha.
We ended the night with some old fashioned ice cream celebrating baby Ella's 1st birthday!!
Disneyland was great and because there is still so much we still need to do we are going back on his next visit!

Thanks for reading!
