When They Say There Is.....

...a national emergency, they mean it! If you know me, then you know I cannot live without my daily dose of caffeine or rather my milk with a shot of coffee...since we have been put "lockdown" my brother has been so upset when I've left the house to go on my daily Starbucks run. I finally told him, "as long as they stay open, I will continue to go." So you can imagine what a sad realization it was for me when I went to mobile order and I saw this!

I mean, are you kidding me! So I looked for the "select" stores still open and I was happy to learn, my local store was still in business! So I got in my car drove my usual 5 minutes only to realize IT WAS CLOSED!!!

As upset as I was, I didn't give up on my journey to find an open drive-thru.

I FOUND ONE! Maybe it was a little further out of my way than normal, and maybe I did wait in a 30-minute drive-thru line. But it was totally worth it.

Now I realize being upset about such a frivolous luxury is silly, but on top of everything else I have witnessed through this mess, the "you don't know what you have until it's gone" idea is starting to be evident. In situations like these, we are recognizing just how blessed we are to have access to so many resources and we take for granted that they will always be there. I will continue to reflect and appreciate the little things.
Stay safe, healthy and don't forget to make the best of it! This will all be over before we know it!

Thanks for reading!
