There's Always Next Time, Right?

August was a fun month because after almost 3 months apart, Grant came to visit me! :) That was an exciting vacation! It always seems to amaze me how many things I don't know about California. But thankfully I have someone who not only pushes me outside my comfort zone and makes me do things I wouldn't normally do, but knows how to seek out new adventures for us...

...like hike alllllllll the way to the Hollywood sign! I couldn't walk for DAYS after that "2 mile" hike....at least that's what Grant said. He made me think it was just a stroll in the park haha.

Here we are at the top. The view from up there was amazing! :) So I guess all the pain afterwards was worth it!

We also went to the Griffith Observatory later that day and my feet were killing me!

Grant was finally able to take me whale watching and that was really fun! But I was terrified the whole time because I kept thinking I was going to fall into the water! Yikes!

While he was here we also picked a day to have some familia time! I think it was a Wednesday. We started the day off with lunch Fatburger and then hung out at Griffith Park. We took the girls on a train ride and went on the merry go round. The girls also went for a horse rides. It was a really fun day!

All in all this was a great trip and I really enjoyed having him out here...if only he didn't have to go back! :( Until next time which I hope is very soon! Here's to all the things we didn't do on this trip and all the things we will do the next time you are here!! I love you Grant!! :)
