It Is Has Been Two (and a half) Years!!
2 ½ years ago, if someone told me that at 19 I would be
getting on a plane to fly 1,400 miles to Jacksonville, AR, for spring break to visit my cousin Monique, just
to meet a military boy from Illinois, have the best week of my life, fall in
love and create the best long distance relationship I have ever had (the only
one I’ve ever had)…I would have said they were out of their mind…turns out 2 ½
years later I am completely out of my mind and head over heels for the military
boy from Illinois.
On May 27th of this year Grant and I celebrated,
for the first time together, our 2 year anniversary. It has been a crazy,
exciting and at times a very frustrating journey, but it has been totally worth
it. I have learned what it is like to love another unconditionally and to have
that love be given to back to me.
Between the penguin talk, animal kisses, late night phone
calls, fights, I don’t like yous, I miss yous, can’t live without yous, I can
live without yous and most importantly the I love yous, the last two years have
been one wild ride and a journey I wouldn’t trade for the world.
