It is a Great Day For...
...a weekly update!
As promised I am going to let you know how working at Tutor Time is going. I have been there for 2 1/2 weeks and I am loving it! As I mentioned before I am working with babies and toddlers (3months-2years.) Let me just start by saying, if I thought working with school age kids was hard, this job is even harder! Taking care of kids is something I love to do, but taking care of 8 babies at the same time is difficult! Everyday there are 8 babies, 8 schedules, 8 naps, 24 diaper changes and 24 feeding times. And in between all of that, there is making sure they are not fighting, biting, hitting or eating anything they are not supposed to be eating. But the hardest part of my job is making sure they are always HAPPY!! If you had walked into my classroom today you would have thought I was neglecting them!! There were all so crabby and they did not stop crying from the time I got there to the time they all went home! So you can see there is no down time and I only get one 10 minute break! But what makes me want to keep going back is the way the kids respond to me. Even when we have our crazy days, there are always funny and milestone moments that I get to witness. Like watching them crawl, walk or talk for the first time! :) I get to watch them laugh and play. I get to see how they develop and learn what makes them happy. Most of all I feel like I am part of there little life and I get to watch them grow! So as you can tell I am enjoying my new job and I am glad I am getting this opportunity to experience a totally different side of taking care of kids! :)
I hope you all have had a great Wednesday! :)
