Just for the Summer...
. . . 2 months later . . .
It's been a busy two months between going to school full time and working part time I just haven't found the time or energy to blog. But now that I have some time during the summer I am hoping to get some new posts up.
I’ll start off by sharing some good news! I went to see my counselor about a month ago just to see where I stand as far as transferring and he told me that I only have about 5 classes left. And if I am lucky I will be out of Norco by next winter! I was so happy to here this news!! Since then I have been some serious research into what university I want to transfer to. Originally I wanted to attend Northridge, but I as I was looking around I found a school up north that really sparked my interest. Cal State East Bay. It's about 6 hours from here and the communications program looks great! I am hoping to make a trip out there just to check out the campus and housing some time this fall. If all checks out I will apply, fingers crossed and many prayers I will get in! Something I am looking forward to! :)
On another school note I started summer session 2 days ago. I am taking a health science class and an online English class. This is my first full online course and it's a lot of work, but I am excited to give it a try. My health class is only 2 hours in the morning M-Th and no class on Fridays!! Wahoo!! This means I get to sleep in!! :) Once I finish this session I will only need the fall semester and possibly winter session, depending on how many classes I take in the fall.
As far as work goes I have been on a long term sub position at Newman Elementary, but since the school year is over I am currently not working. I am hoping that my supervisor will call me this summer and ask me to work. I enjoy working with kids. Especially the kids that I was with the past 4 months. They are good kids and lots of fun! I always have silly stories of the things they do! :) I am really itching to go back to work!
So far my summer has been quite enjoyable. It has been very peaceful to have some time to myself. I haven't really done anything exciting, a few familia gathering and a trip to Disneyland, but that's about it. I do have some exciting things planned toward the middle of summer. I plan to go to the beach this Friday with my cousins and the babies. We have a huge familia camping trip in the middle of August. Oh and Grant is coming to town the first 2 weeks of August. I can't wait!!
