Middle of the Semester Update!
I know, I know!! It's been far too long since my last post! But now that I have sometime in my busy schedule I'll fill you in on what's going on...Can you believe it's already the middle of the semester?! I know I can't!!
On the job front, not really much to say except I am continuing to work a lot and I love what I do. I also continue to come home with some very funny stories!! These kids are too great!!

I'll start with school, we are about a month away from the end of the semester and now getting ready for finals. Sadly, I was not able to keep up with me Biology class. I was about 3 exams in when I talked to my professor to see where I stood since I was not doing so hot on my exams, and she told me my grade was at a solid D. That really hit me hard because I was trying so hard in that class. Going to all the review sessions before test and quizzes and working outside with my lab partner on our labs, extra credit and doing all of the in class assignments. So you can see why I was so disheartened. But in the end I decided that it was best for me to just drop the class with a W instead of letting the D affect my overall GPA. On the bright side I am doing continuously well in all my other classes. I have two essays due; one on abortion and the other on drug legalization, I have a Chemistry quiz this week and a mid-term in two weeks. So as you can see I am pretty busy with these two classes alone.
On to ASNC news, the 2nd newsletter is in the works. There has been some issues with getting it out, but is coming along nicely. So crossing my fingers it will come out soon!! Our senate meetings have been going well. Lots of debating going on and great decisions are being made to improve our campus! As for the relations committee we are not really doing much, just keep putting out our weekly press releases and promoting events for other clubs. The one big thing we are focusing on right now is our annual Canned Food Drive to kick off the holiday season.
We have had 1 more event since the last post. ASNC 16th Harvest Annual Festival. This was by far the biggest even this semester! After weeks and weeks of planning and raising candy I have to say it was an amazing success!! Even my mom joined in the fun....of clean up! Thanks MOM!! We are also working on Veteran's Day this Thursday.

In other exciting news, I am going to take another step in being a big girl and I am flying out to see my wonderful guy Grant in two weeks for Thanksgiving!! I am so excited I haven't seen him in 3 months!! Ekk I can't wait!!
