The 5th Week Update!
Crazy, Crazy, Crazy!!!
If I thought the first week was busy, 5 weeks into the semester and I have already had 3 tests, 1 mid-term, 6 quizzes and two papers due!! And next week I have a critical essay due on the death penalty, a Biology exam, and a Chemistry quiz. Wow!! Super intense! Just about covers it school wise.
On to ASNC news, the newsletter made it's debut. FINALLY! It only took four weeks. We have had our first 3 senate meetings, which I have to say were interesting and fun! I never knew they were so intense...Ha. I talked a lot and made three motions. That was cool. The relations committee has had its first 2 official meetings. I have gladly taken the job as note taker...funny thing is I have no idea how to take minutes! So I just take a bunch of notes in the form of an outline...I hope that's right!
We have had 3 events so far Patriots Day [9-11,] Club Rush, and Constitution Day.
Today the ASNC family participated in a Breast Cancer walk. It was a blast to walk with people you love being around for a great cause. We went to Denny's after.
Last Wednesday we went to 6 different elementary schools to drop off flyer's for our 16th Annual Harvest Festival. It was a blast, even though we got lost trying to find every school. Part of the reason we got lost was because we kept fighting with each other on which way to go, but in the end we laughed! We went to Chronic Taco afterwards. It seem that no matter what we do we always end the day with food! Ha. No wonder why I am gaining weight!
It's days like these that make being apart of ASNC fun!
In other exciting news, I got a new job with the Chino school district. I am classified as an Instructional Aide and I am currently working for an after school program at elementary different schools.
I just started doing this two weeks ago, but I already have my favorite sites and some funny stories! I have learned, even though sometimes I may not want my own kids, I do enjoy being around them! I have also learned, as if it wasn't evident enough with Alison and Ella, if I choose to be a mom I will be a good one!
